The essentials
You first apply for citizenship through the government Citizenship by Investment Programme. The application must be filed by an Authorised Agent. After approval in principle, you complete the qualifying investment and remaining requirements. Once citizenship is granted, you may submit a separate passport application.
Qualifying investment starts at US$250,000. The main applicant’s published due-diligence fee is US$10,000 and the application processing fee is US$250 per applicant. Other government, professional and third-party costs depend on the route and family composition.
Eligible dependants may be included. Each family member must meet the current age, relationship and dependency requirements. We discuss your family circumstances during the initial consultation.
Official guidance states that the Citizenship Unit normally advises whether a complete application is approved in principle, denied or delayed within 120–180 days of acknowledging submission. Document preparation and the later passport application add time.
